BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support hospital operations and ensure accurate pharmaceutical preparation and delivery.

Under Pharmacist oversight, you will handle registration requirements, strive for customer satisfaction, and may work PRN hourly with evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Florida registered Pharmacy Technician license is required.

• Maintain regulatory requirements and technician registration.
• Pass the Pharmaceutical Calculations exam if required.

Position Details

• Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Status: PRN - as needed, hourly
• Shift Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm
• Weekend Work: Occasional
• On Call: No

Pharmacy Technician , under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction
• Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.
• Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.

Required

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
• Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
