Job summary

WESTON WALL SYSTEMS LTD is seeking a skilled carpenter for on-site work in a dynamic construction setting. You will measure, cut, shape and install wood and related materials, read blueprints, and coordinate tasks across sites. Apprentices will be instructed and safety standards emphasized throughout projects.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience, and are comfortable working outdoors in noisy, dusty environments with high attention to accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Instructs apprentices and coordinates on-site tasks with a focus on safety and quality.
• Reads project drawings and material needs to plan tasks and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Instruct apprentices
• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications
• Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
