Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled carpenter to read blueprints, lay out and construct wooden and steel framing on construction sites across Ontario.

You will build foundations, erect walls and roof systems, and install windows and doors to conform with building codes. The ideal candidate has a secondary school certificate and 1–2 years of carpentry experience, works outdoors in noisy environments, and coordinates site tasks while maintaining safety and quality on permanent, full-time

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of carpentry experience.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine work requirements; measure and lay out to code.

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Estimate costs and materials
