Job summary

Minerals Technologies, through Minteq, is seeking a Steel Mill Laborer in Nanticoke, Ontario, for hands-on maintenance and repair of refractory equipment at customer sites. The role emphasizes safety, data tracking, and teamwork in a fast-paced steel mill environment.

Starting pay is CAD 27.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include health/dental plans, life insurance, EAP, and paid vacation and holidays. Valid driver’s license and dependability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English
• Mechanical aptitude, time management, able to schedule and prioritize multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Learn the application procedure of refractory products, track data, and summarize daily events.
