Job summary

Kibbi is seeking an experienced construction worker in Ontario to read blueprints, prepare layouts, and assemble wood and related materials. The role includes foundations, walls, roof systems, and installation of windows and doors in industrial settings.

It is a physically demanding, on-site position with 40 hours per week, permanent employment, and newcomer support programs. Applicants typically have 2–3 years of experience in construction or woodworking, with the ability to work at heights in

• Use measuring tools to prepare layouts and ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts conforming to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
