Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting a Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentice for the Cenovus Birch Creek project in Conklin, Alberta. The role includes reading drawings, cutting openings, pipefitting, welding sections, testing for leaks, and maintaining piping systems on site with travel allowances and camp accommodations.

The program offers hands-on rehab and upgrades for storage facilities, CSTS WHMIS and H2S Alive safety prerequisites, and requires legal work eligibility in Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience with PVC glued pipe systems and assisted with small-bore HDPE pipe installation and maintenance.
• CSTS 2020 with WHMIS, H2S Alive, confined space and fall protection training.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings or blueprints to determine layout requirements.
• Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors and ceilings using power tools.
• Select the type and size of pipe needed and cut, bend or thread the pipe according to specifications.
• Fabricate sections of piping systems by welding, brazing or soldering pieces together.
• Test systems for leaks using specialized testing equipment.
• Clean and maintain pipe systems by using flushing systems.
• Remove and replace worn-out pipes.

Jardeg is currently recruiti ng Pipefitter Apprenticesto join the Integrated Constructors Inc team at the Cenovus Birch Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, Conklin Alberta.

The work scope includes, but is not limited to, executing rehabilitation projects for existing storage facilities, encompassing condition assessments, repairs, upgrades, and other improvement activities.

***Travel allowance $300 per shift rotation***
