Job summary

AFIMAC is seeking security personnel for an access control role in Cambridge, Ontario. The position involves 12-hour shifts, including weekends, with day and night options. The contract runs for six weeks with possible extension, and pay is $20.00 per hour before overtime.

Candidates must hold an Ontario security guard license, be legally eligible to work in Canada, and have strong English skills. Travel to Cambridge is required for all shifts.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid security guard license in the province of Ontario
• Previous access control experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong work ethic
• Able to travel to Cambridge and be on-site for all shifts
• Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required.
• Ability to work 5 -7 days per week: 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Weekend only shift available (12 hour shifts)
• Able to sit, walk, stand for extended periods of time
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision
• Excellent report writing skills
