Job summary

AFIMAC is a global risk management and elite security company hiring for an on-site access control role in Cambridge, Ontario. The position involves 12-hour day and night shifts, 5–7 days per week, including weekends, on a six-week contract with $20.00 per hour before overtime.

You must hold a valid Ontario security guard license, be able to travel to Cambridge, and demonstrate strong customer service and de‑escalation skills. English reading and writing are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario security guard license required.
• Access control experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and de-escalation skills.
• Able to travel to Cambridge and be on-site for all shifts.
• Work 5–7 days per week with 12-hour shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Must be a Canadian resident legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Excellent report writing skills.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid security guard license in the province of Ontario
• Previous access control experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong work ethic
• Able to travel to Cambridge and be on-site for all shifts
• Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required.
• Ability to work 5 -7 days per week: 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Weekend only shift available (12 hour shifts)
• Able to sit, walk, stand for extended periods of time
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision
• Excellent report writing skills
