Job summary

Norpro Security Ltd. is seeking independent and motivated individuals to join our team as Static Guards in Sault Ste. Marie.

This part-time position offers 0–24 hours per week at 18.55 CAD/hour across multiple client sites. You will patrol properties, monitor cameras, respond to alarms, complete security reports, and ensure safety for personnel and visitors. Required are a valid Security Guard Licence, CPR/First Aid, PCRJMC clearances, and eligibility to work in Canada; a G/G2 driver's licence

Qualifications

• Valid Security Guard Licence is required.
• Valid First Aid / CPR Certification.
• Clear Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated property to monitor and prevent intrusion, damage, hazards, and breaches of security.
• Observe, identify, and report incidents at assigned client sites and ensure security of client properties.
• Respond to alarms in a timely manner.
• Operate monitoring equipment and security cameras.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Adhere to company service and operating standards.
• Remain compliant with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
• Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance.
• Write and submit security reports promptly.
• Record incident/accident reports accurately and submit to the Manager.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Other related duties as requested.

Our security group administers stand-alone and integrated services to clients ranging from one-time security guards to the complete package that utilizes all of our services. Class G or G2 driver's licence is an asset. Experince with loss prevention is an asset.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Patrol designated property to monitor and prevent intrusion, damage, hazards, and breaches of security.
• Observe, identify, and report incidents at assigned client sites and will be responsible for the security and safety of client’s properties.
• Respond to alarms.
• Operate monitoring equipment and complex security cameras.
• Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
• Remain in compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
• Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance.
• Write and submit security reports.
• Ensure all incident/accident reports are recorded accurately and submitted to the Manager as they occur.
• Must be able to lift and carry and move 50 pounds regularly.

Other related duties as requested.

Preferred

• Class G or G2 Driver’s Licence
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computers and Microsoft programs.
• Above average English oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend for extended periods;reach with hands and arms;talk and listen on a regular basis. Must be able to perform under pressure, concentrate for a prolonged period and able to work long hours under stressful conditions. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult staff, other persons.
