Stannah Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Stairlift Installation & Service Specialist to support customers across the Greater Toronto Area.

The role involves installing and servicing residential stairlifts, diagnosing issues, following safety policies, and providing clear operation instructions to customers and caregivers. This is a full-time position with travel across GTA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude expected.
• Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with accommodations available.

Responsibilities

• Install and service residential Stannah stairlifts per standards.
• Diagnose and report installation, maintenance, and service issues.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance per manuals and safety policies.
• Use hand and power tools safely and confidently.
• Provide customers and caregivers with clear stairlift operation instructions.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts.
• Represent Stannah professionally with confidentiality and courtesy.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: CAD $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, technical problem-solving skills, and experience using hand and power tools are encouraged to apply. Previous stairlift experience is not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and service residential Stannah stairlifts in accordance with applicable national and local standards and company policies.
• Diagnose, document, and report installation, maintenance, and service issues using company work order systems.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance following company manuals, procedures, and safety policies.
• Use hand and power tools confidently, safely, and appropriately.
• Provide customers and caregivers with clear, thorough instruction on stairlift operation during handover.
• Maintain the company vehicle with appropriate parts, tools, and supplies.
• Represent Stannah professionally by maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating patience, respect, and courtesy always.
• Maintain company equipment, tools, vehicles, and property in safe, reliable working condition.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe and law-abiding manner.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• The work environment includes residential homes, stairs, tight spaces, and physical installation tasks.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs, where required for safe installation.
• Reasonable accommodations will be provided in accordance with applicable human rights legislation.
• Work involves daily travel throughout the GTA.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Occasional overtime as required and in accordance with applicable Ontario employment standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid Ontario driver's licence
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs (with accommodations available as required)
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in installation, maintenance, HVAC, elevator, appliance repair, or similar technical fields
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or operational issues
• Experience working in residential field service environments
