Adecco is hiring experienced Cooks for Cirque du Soleil in Vancouver, BC, to prepare meals for an international team of artists and staff in a fast-paced backstage kitchen. The role offers a pay rate of $19.00/hour with 5 days of work per week, and both temporary and part-time/full-time options.

Successful candidates will have FOODSAFE Level 1, 3-5 years of high-end culinary experience, and a culinary school diploma.

Qualifications

• FOODSAFE Level 1 certification required.
• 3-5 years proven cooking experience in high-end settings.
• Culinary school diploma required.
• Good knowledge of English for team communication.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food for Cirque’s employees (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.
• The answer, report, and follow Cirque chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Help oversee prep cook’s duties and tasks.
