Petroglyph Development Group is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to oversee overall kitchen operations in a dynamic, high-energy environment in Metro Vancouver. You will lead a culinary team, mentor staff, manage staffing, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting a culture of learning and excellence.
The role requires a minimum of 2 years in culinary leadership, Red Seal certification or progress toward it, and Food Safety competency.
Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually
Under the general direction of the Executive Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the overall kitchen operations. Ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports the company’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Standing for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
Standing for extended periods of time in a high-energy, high-heat kitchen environment, with regular exposure to steam, open flames, and fast-paced service demands. This role requires working non-traditional hours, including regular weekend shifts, evenings, and holidays. Weekends are the most dynamic and high-volume periods of the week, offering the opportunity to lead the brigade during peak service, uphold culinary excellence, and directly influence the rhythm, precision, and success of the operation.
