Outschool is seeking a full-stack Staff Software Engineer to build a new ambitious product platform with an agentic-first approach. You will enable millions of families to discover and access public-funded educational resources and deliver an AI-guided planning journey.

You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and collaborate across Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to shape the roadmap. The role emphasizes AI-enabled workflows and scalable platform design.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in full-stack development: TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience in AI-native development.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; proven leadership and architectural judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact engineering initiatives across personalized discovery, payments, reimbursement workflows, and related problem spaces.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to align on roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and execution strategy.
• Demonstrate AI-native development mindset and help establish principles and best practices on AI development.
