Job summary

FullStack is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our talent network and work on flexible, project-based engagements for U.S. clients. You will contribute to AI-driven software delivery, collaborate with client teams, and help scale modern full-stack systems.

The role emphasizes ownership, architectural clarity, and delivering high-quality code in a remote setting with agile collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and building scalable, full-stack applications.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Deep technical expertise in modern front-end development using React and TypeScript.
• 1-3 years of professional experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows and agentic AI tools to accelerate delivery.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams and writing clear architectural design documents.
• Strong background in back-end technologies, with hands-on production experience in GraphQL or Ruby on Rails.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring senior engineers and evaluating trade-offs for org-wide initiatives.
• Experience with mobile development (React Native, iOS, or Android) is a strong plus.
• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Forensic attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
• Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams and large-scale systems.

• You will integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and building scalable, full-stack applications.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Deep technical expertise in modern front-end development using React and TypeScript.
• 1-3 years of professional experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows and agentic AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate delivery.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams and writing clear architectural design documents (RFCs, ADRs).
• Strong background in back-end technologies, with hands-on production experience in GraphQL or Ruby on Rails.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring senior engineers, driving technical best practices, and evaluating trade-offs for org-wide initiatives.
• Experience with mobile development (particularly React Native, iOS, or Android) is a strong plus.
• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
• Forensic attention to detail.
• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams.
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
