Job description

Staff Product Manager - Clinical Platform

Join Our Mission: Help the Helpers with Jane

Let's kick things off with a quick intro. Jane is a team that's all about fostering growth, spreading delight, and serving our healthcare community. We're on the hunt for people ready to jump in and join us while we simplify the lives of healthcare practitioners and patients daily. And guess what? Jane is a remote-first company, meaning every role at Jane, including this one, is remote — giving you the freedom to work from any corner of Canada.

Your Role in Our Journey

We’re looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to spearhead the development and growth of Jane’s Clinical Integrations Platform, which aims to empower healthcare practitioners across diverse disciplines by enabling seamless integration of discipline-specific tools within Jane. You will lead the charge in crafting workflows, collaborating with partners, and defining technical strategies to ensure the platform delivers unparalleled value and flexibility. This role focuses on building the platform from 0-1 to extend Jane’s capabilities. By enabling industry-leading partners to integrate with Jane, you’ll help streamline workflows for healthcare practitioners, improve efficiency, and ultimately enhance patient care.

This is a highly technical role where you'll be responsible for driving the vision and execution of our Clinical Integrations Platform. We're looking for someone who has built 3rd-party platforms or marketplaces and understands the challenges that come with integrations. You will need to quickly understand partner value propositions, manage multiple integration roadmaps, and strategize on how to standardize and productize offerings. You should also have the ability to recognize patterns across partners and create scalable solutions that multiply the value we provide. Additionally, you should have the technical depth to manage product strategy while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure smooth implementation. You should be comfortable working both in the weeds (details) and at the 30K ft view (strategic thinking). Experience with AI/ML technologies is a plus, as we are looking for innovative solutions that align with our broader product vision.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of product strategy, technical innovation, and customer experience. You’ll define workflows and processes that allow external partners to integrate their tools with Jane, ensuring maximum value for our users. Your work will directly impact the future of Jane’s platform, as you develop strategies to empower our partners, optimize our workflows, and help practitioners deliver care more effectively.

As a Staff Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for crafting the future of the platform, shaping the direction of our partnerships, and mentoring team members. Your insights into platform evolution, your ability to think beyond the current product, and your technical expertise will be crucial as we work to expand our platform capabilities and build a truly integrated ecosystem of tools for healthcare providers.

This is a highly collaborative role that will require you to work closely with both internal teams and external partners. You’ll play a key role in making Jane the go-to platform for healthcare practitioners by refining how our system integrates with industry leaders and ensuring the best possible experience for our users.

If you’re someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, enjoys building from the ground up, and is passionate about improving healthcare workflows, this is the role for you.

The Impact You Could Have...
  • Shape the future of Jane’s platform by developing a foundation that enables practitioners to seamlessly discover and use discipline-specific digital tools, enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness in patient care.
  • Build workflows and strategies that allow partners to integrate with Jane, ensuring their tools deliver maximum value to practitioners while maintaining Jane’s high bar for usability and customer delight.
  • Empower practitioners to focus more on providing care by simplifying access to the right resources at the right time, streamlining their workflows, and improving patient outcomes.
  • Define and drive the evolution of Jane’s platform capabilities by working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, translating complex challenges into innovative solutions.
  • Mentor and elevate team by bringing expertise in zero-to-one platform building, data-driven iteration, and technical strategy, setting a strong precedent for the future of Jane’s platform initiatives.
The Experience We Feel We Need...
  • Platform Expertise: Proven success building and scaling platforms from 0-1, with a strong grasp of early-stage platform requirements and MVP definition.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of platform architecture, integration methods, and tech stack constraints. Familiarity with platform monetization strategies is a bonus.
  • Customer-Centric: Passionate about deeply understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable solutions.
  • Proven Leadership: Experience owning and driving strategy across teams while navigating ambiguous environments to deliver impactful results.
  • Collaborative & Transparent: Exceptional communicator with the ability to align cross-functional teams and partners around a shared vision.

Compensation Expectations for the Role

Jane’s committed to paying our team members fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $146,400 and maximum annual salary of $228,600. This salary range is intentional to account for the growth someone will experience in the role throughout their time at Jane (i.e., from building the skills, to accomplished, to highly proficient, all the way to achieving excellence in the role). When hiring talented folks to join the Jane team, we’ve found that new team members are best set up for success when hired with the expectation of being fully accomplished in the role, which for this role would reflect a starting salary of $173,800.

It's also possible to join Jane at a salary above or below this, which would mean a salary below $173,800 typically reflects someone who has all the potential to be fully accomplished in the role but doesn't yet possess all the skills required, while a salary above $182,900. is typically for individuals who are currently in this role at Jane and had the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on our customers, product and company with deep Jane knowledge. At Jane, we pay for growth, which means that you’ll continue to have conversations about your career development with your manager and see your compensation grow over time as you build an amazing career with us.

At Jane, we’re committed to fostering an environment that allows you to come to work as your truest self. We believe it’s important to actively recognize, embrace, and celebrate our differences in order to make Jane an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace.

We do not tolerate discrimination, prejudice, or oppressive isms of any kind. Employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, experience, and the needs of the Jane community. We encourage anyone who requires accommodation or adjustments throughout the interview process to let us know, and we will do our best to support you.
