Job summary

We require a PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy and a license with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. The position offers hourly pay of CAD 46.00– CAD 50.00, with standard hours and a focus on patient-centered care and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is required.
  • Licensed pharmacist (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual consultations including minor ailment assessments and answer medication questions.
  • Perform clinical verifications for prescriptions on time to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct technical checks on medication orders efficiently.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to pharmacy team members to improve processes.
  • Coach pharmacy students through shadowing, coaching, and timely feedback.
  • Partner with pharmacy manager and operations to review processes for continuous improvement.
  • Review escalated issues and interface with patients and team to resolve.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial laws and regulations.
  • Ensure patients are never out of medications.

The Role:

We're looking for a self-motivated, superstar Pharmacist to join the amazing Pocketpills team.

Job Duties:

  • Provide virtual consultation including minor ailment assessments and answer medication-related questions through various mediums efficiently and courteously
  • Perform clinical verifications for prescriptions on time to ensure efficient operations
  • Conduct technical checks on medication orders in an efficient manner
  • Provide coaching and guidance to pharmacy team members to improve the pharmacy processes
  • Provide guidance to pharmacy students through shadowing opportunities, direct coaching, and timely, constructive feedback to support their learning and professional growth.
  • Partner with pharmacy manager and operations management to review processes regularly to ensure optimal efficiency, effectiveness and embrace continuous improvement
  • Review escalated issues for resolution. Interface with patients and team members as needed to resolve
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and Provincial laws, rules and regulations
  • Do anything in your capacity to make sure that the patient is never out of medications.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Licensed pharmacist (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Passion for providing optimal patient-centered care to all patients
  • Ability to achieve results with a strong sense of urgency and a "can-do" attitude.
  • Quick to adapt to evolving technology and able to troubleshoot or navigate systems without letting it impact performance.
  • Detail-oriented with a collaborative, team-first approach and positive attitude
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to results
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and business needs

The annual compensation for this full time position ranges from $46.00 to $50.00 per hour and is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and alignment to the market.

  • Status: Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • Availability: Monday to Friday
