BeyondTrust, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead in-kernel enforcement for the Linux OS as part of our Identity Security Platform.

You will define eBPF strategies, implement LSM hooks, and drive policy evaluation from kernel to userspace, ensuring real-time decisions across fleets. You will partner with cross-org teams to advance kernel portability, container and namespace enforcement, and robust security tooling, while mentoring engineers and shaping architectural

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems-level software engineering.
• Deep Linux kernel internals including scheduling and memory management.
• Hands-on eBPF for security enforcement and verifier fluency.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and own eBPF programs and BPF LSM hooks.
• Own the kernel/userspace enforcement boundary and policy evaluation.
• Reduce enforce-mode latency on syscall hot path across large fleets.
• Extend enforcement into containers and namespaces (cgroups, namespaces, Kubernetes).
• Harden portability across kernel versions and distributions.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on Linux systems and eBPF craft.
