The Staff Buyer Planner is responsible for the procurement of production parts and scheduling production for a defined group of medical devices. The Buyer Planner maintains appropriate levels of raw materials, including vendor negotiation, risk identification, and supporting non-conformances.

Your Impact Through Innovation

• Analyze data and reports using statistical techniques, and present that data as required.
• Consider the impact of documentation changes on stakeholders and linkages.
• Create purchase orders to support production plans, maintaining raw material and finished goods inventory to targets.
• Support NPI sourcing and vendor negotiations.
• Create production plans and schedules based on customer demand and business risk.
• Identify risk areas related to material shortages and develop recovery plans.
• Identify production capacity risks and communicate with management and stakeholders.
• Prepare information for routine Production Meetings, reporting inventory and production status.
• Liaise with major customers and suppliers.
• Participate in supplier performance evaluations.
• Lead supply chain improvement or cost-saving projects.
• Other duties as required.
• Comply with Health & Safety policies and report unsafe conditions.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of purchasing/production planning experience.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good organization and time management skills.
• Excellent planning skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all management levels.
• Highly detail-oriented.

Asset Skills:

• Supply Chain training or certification.
• Experience with ERP systems or databases.
