Our Burlington office has an immediate opening for a full-time Staff Accountant (Supervisor), Assurance. Reporting to Partners and Managers, you will be responsible for:

1. Independently, or under supervision, preparing financial statements and working papers for audit engagements;
2. Acting as an in-charge in leading review and audit engagements with junior staff members;
3. Independently preparing financial statements and working papers for review and compilation engagements;
4. Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in a public accounting practice
• Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA)
• Thorough understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS)
• Good understanding of and experience with Canadian income taxation
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
