Job summary

Live Nation Vancouver is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and ensure timely financial records in a fast-paced environment. You will handle bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations, support AP/AR, prepare audit schedules, GST/PST filings, and post journal entries.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or active progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines independently.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST/PST.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting activities and month-end close.
• Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable with customer setup and inquiries.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for audits, tax filings, and internal reporting.
• GST/PST filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Review general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies and standards.
• Help improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve questions and support operational needs.
