Job summary

Ward & Uptigrove is seeking a Staff Accountant in Southwestern Ontario to join a firm recognized as a 2026 Top Employer. You will prepare compilations, reviews, and audits, prepare financial statements and corporate tax returns, and collaborate with Partners on special projects.

Hybrid/remote options depend on location and experience. The role offers a base salary in the $52,000 to $94,000 annual range, with a supportive environment, mentoring, and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience preparing compilation engagements using CaseWare.
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related Business program.
• Self-motivated, hardworking and driven to succeed with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compilation, review, and audit engagements from planning through to completion, based on your level of experience
• Prepare financial statements and corporate tax returns
• Collaborate directly with Partners on special projects
• Identify opportunities to improve engagement quality and efficiency

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare compilation, review, and audit engagements from planning through to completion, based on your level of experience
• Prepare financial statements and corporate tax returns

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience preparing compilation engagements using CaseWare
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related Business program
• Self-motivated, hardworking and driven to succeed with strong attention to detail

Nice to Have:

• CPA designation or active progress towards completion
• Experience working with audit engagements

Hybrid and/or remote arrangements are available based on the candidate’s experience, location and the needs of the role.

Base Salary Range: $52,000 - $94,000
