Simply Talent is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for a hybrid role in the Toronto area. The position focuses on auditing, reviews, Canadian corporate taxes, and engagement leadership within a collaborative team environment.

You will work three days a week in-office and engage with clients to deliver high-quality assurance work while developing your professional skills.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience in a public accounting environment.
• CPA designation or in process is required.
• Experience with completing audit and review engagements.
• Experience liaising with clients.
• Experience with Canadian corporate taxes and have the ability to prepare corporate tax returns.
• Experience conducting research & reach technical conclusions.
• Strong knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, MS Office (Excel and Word) & Taxprep.
• Ability to work as part of a professional team and lead others in a team environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ability to recognize accounting and tax issues and work with the team to resolve any issues that arise.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills for prioritizing demands and meeting deadlines.

Senior Staff Accountant - Job Description

My client is a well respected multi-disciplinary accounting firm, who is actively searching for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to advance your career by working on exciting projects in a friendly, team environment. This is a hybrid opportunity (three days in the office) at their location in North York.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a public accounting environment
• CPA designation or in process is required
• Experience with completing audit and review engagements
• Strong experience reviewing assurance files including the tax return with the ability to hand over to Managers with minimal loose ends
• Experience liaising with clients
• Experience with Canadian corporate taxes and have the ability to prepare corporate tax returns
• Experience conducting research & reach technical conclusions
• Strong knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, MS Office (Excel and Word) & Taxprep
• Ability to work as part of a professional team and lead others in a team environment
