Job summary

Levy at TD Place in Ottawa is seeking a Concession Coordinator to lead concessions operations during events, manage a team of staff and oversee portables and bars.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Food & Beverage experience.
• 2 years of managerial experience.
• Experience scheduling staff based on operational needs.
• Flexible with schedule and shifts.
• Bondable and able to pass background check.
• Must demonstrate mathematical skills.
• Must demonstrate Excel skills.
• Must possess a valid Smart Serve Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of concessions, bars, portables and specialty stations.
• Oversee the setup; ensure cleanliness and organization of all portables and concessions for each event.
• Coordinate with third party vendors and sponsors.
• Produce inventory sheets for concessions and assist in tracking inventory for all work areas as assigned; on an event and monthly basis.
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner.
• May be required to replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Schedule concession staff according to needs, budget and declining balance.
• Review attendances; use progressive disciplinary action; act as main point of contact for concession staff.
• Serve as liaison between HR/Payroll and staff to help resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Review time cards for payroll daily.
• Assist with developing par levels accounting for sales history.
• Assist with balancing and consolidating sales on various POS systems.
• Assist accounting in correcting void errors and coaching staff on reducing errors.
• Assist Beverage Manager with floor plans for portables for events.
• Assist with training for supervisors and all concession staff for setup and event days.
• Lead pre shift meetings for supervisors on prep and event days.
• Inform staff of new policies; enforce company policies, safety regulations; apply progressive disciplinary action when needed.
• Co-ordinate and direct supervisors on completing tasks; walk the floor and assist as needed.
• Recruitment duties during events: interviews and hiring decisions.
• Assist Concession Beverage Manager with office work.
• May involve assisting with setup for Concessions and Bars.
