Job summary

Barracuda Networks, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering in Ottawa, Ontario, to lead a high-performing SRE team responsible for reliability, availability, and scalability of SaaS apps such as Email Security Gateway and Cloud Email Archiving.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, security, and platform teams to drive incident response, automation, and operational excellence while mentoring engineers in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE/DevOps or related tech ops, with people leadership.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Experience implementing SLOs/SLIs, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Proven ability to hire and mentor engineers and foster inclusive culture.
• Excellent communication with engineering partners and business leaders.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD, disaster recovery, multi-cloud operations.
• Ability to analyze data to improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing SRE team with a culture of ownership.
• Drive reliability engineering practices across critical services (SLOs/SLIs, monitoring).
• Partner with engineering/platform teams to improve design, operation, and scalability.
• Own incident management, post-incident reviews, and follow-up actions.
• Champion automation and tooling to reduce manual toil and scale support.
• Use data to identify reliability gaps and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Support secure operations with proper controls and documentation.
