Job summary

RBC is seeking a Principal Engineer in Cyber Technology Operations SRE to drive security automation, operations strategy, and scalable controls. You will partner with security teams to streamline technologies, improve reliability, and ensure compliance while delivering high-quality, auditable outcomes.

The role emphasizes cloud and AI security, deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD, plus collaboration across risk, regulators, and technology owners to move securely at speed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security, software engineering, SRE/DevOps, and infrastructure
• 5+ years focused on SRE or reliability work
• 3-5 years in technology compliance and risk
• Experience with Endpoint Security, Network Security, Cloud Security
• Hands-on with AI frameworks and ML concepts

Responsibilities

• Develop operational SRE strategy and automation roadmap
• Responsible for developing automation solutions
• Review, optimize and uplift operational procedures for automated solutions
• Participate in new technology deployments with automation to operationalize solutions
• Collaborate with owners and SMEs on control testing and audits
• Work with risk leads to ensure solutions are designed with risk controls
• Develop KPIs for operational oversight and effectiveness
• Work in an Agile environment using Jira to manage tasks and deadlines
