Job summary

Aviva Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Site Reliability & Infrastructure Engineering to drive reliability and resilience across on‑premises, AWS and SaaS/vendor environments. You'll partner with multiple teams and vendors to shift from reactive recovery to proactive reliability engineering with Dynatrace, PagerDuty, Rubrik, and other modern tools.

You will lead a group of engineers, define operating models for SRE ownership, and ensure audit-ready evidence and governance, while enabling

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in tech across SRE, infrastructure, platform engineering, cloud and resilience.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
• Proficiency with enterprise observability and backup/recovery tooling.

Responsibilities

• Establish and mature SRE practices across critical apps and platforms.
• Embed reliability requirements into design, dev, and release processes.
• Drive incident response improvements and incident management workflows.
• Improve infrastructure ops via automation and self-healing patterns.
• Use observability to improve availability, performance and readiness.
• Lead and coach engineers across reliability and recovery domains.
