Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a motivated risk professional with 6–10 years of post-graduate experience supporting risk management on major Energy and Natural Resources projects. You will facilitate risk workshops and assist in risk identification and analysis in a collaborative team environment.

You will work with tools like Safran Risk and Excel to prepare qualitative and quantitative analyses, dashboards, and risk registers, coordinating with cost, schedule, and change teams to keep risks

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of post-graduate experience in risk management on large Energy & Natural Resources and infrastructure capital projects.
  • Experience with quantitative risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Strong knowledge of risk modeling and risk software tools such as Safran, ARM, @Risk, Oracle PRA, Crystal Ball.
  • Understanding of program and project controls including cost, schedule and change management.
  • Ability to manage risk on programs/projects exceeding CAD 500M in value.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the program/project risk management process with the risk lead.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and tracking risks and opportunities across projects.
  • Contribute to qualitative and quantitative risk analyses (QCRA & QSRA).
  • Support the use of risk analysis tools and maintain risk registers.
  • Develop risk reports and dashboards for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Utilize risk software to enable analysis, reporting and tracking of risks.

  • Coordinate with cost, schedule and change management teams to align risks with broader controls.
  • Engage with client and internal teams to gather data for risk assessments.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and reduce redundancies.

Job Description

You are a motivated and detail-oriented risk professional with around 6-10 years of experience supporting risk management on major projects preferably in Energy and Natural Resources and infrastructure Program/Project Risk Management. You are comfortable working in a collaborative team environment,facilitatingrisk workshops, and supporting the risk identification and analysis process. You have a strong understanding of risk management principles and are eager to develop further in a dynamic program setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the program/project risk management process in coordination with the risk lead.
  • Assistin the identification, assessment, and tracking of risks and opportunities across projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of qualitative and quantitative risk analyses (QCRA & QSRA).
  • Support the use of tools such as Safran Risk, Excel, orsimilar toconduct risk analysis andmaintainrisk registers.
  • Help develop clear risk reports and dashboards for use by project teams and stakeholders.
  • Utilize Risk Management software tofacilitaterisk analysis, reporting, and tracking of project and program risks.
  • Facilitaterisk workshops and review sessions with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cost, schedule, and change management teams to ensure risks are aligned with broader project controls.
  • Engage with client and internal teams to gather data and insights for risk assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with program/project teams and client representatives toidentifyopportunities for improvement andeliminateredundancies.

Knowledge Sharing & Improvement:

  • Assistin documenting lessons learned and sharing insights to help enhance overall risk management practices.
  • Participate in internal team discussions to support refinement of processes and tools.
  • Continuously improve risk management processes, tools, and methodologies to reflect evolving program needs and industry advancements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6years of post-graduate experience in risk management within large Energy and Natural Resources and infrastructure capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with quantitative risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations and other industry-standard tools.
  • Strong knowledge of risk modeling and familiar with Risk Software’s such as Safran, ARM, @Risk, Oracle PRA, Crystall Ball.
  • Strong understanding of program and project controls environments, including cost, schedule, and change management.
  • Proven ability to manage risk on programs or projects exceeding $500M in value, preferably within the energy and natural resources, infrastructure or other related sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree ina relevantdiscipline (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management).
  • Professional qualifications in risk management (e.g., PRMP, PMI-RMP, ARM, or equivalent) or AACE certifications, project management certifications, are highly desirable.
  • Experience with risk management software tools is highly preferred,demonstratingthe ability to integrate technology into effective risk oversight.
