Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year claims experience within APD from a claims handling or first notice of loss perspective.
  • Active adjuster license in New Brunswick or licensure ability is required.
  • Strong knowledge of claims processes and procedures.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
  • Demonstrates organized, proactive, detail-oriented work style.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous, accurate and fair claims service to customers and internal teams.
  • Manage complex and/or commercial auto claims and explain the process clearly by phone and email.
  • Investigate claims and determine appropriate coverage with policy wordings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed file records and process payments within authority.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily operations, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What To Expect
  • Provide prompt, courteous, accurate and fair claims service to all customers, internal and external
  • Manage complex and/or commercial auto claims
  • Fully explain the claim process to all customers in a way they’ll easily understand by telephone and email
  • Interpret and apply policy wordings to determine appropriate coverage under a customer’s policy
  • Ensure all claims are promptly and fully investigated, collaborating with fraud investigators when necessary
  • Work with the customer, preferred vendors, and other stakeholders to determine the best way to resolve the claim
  • Maintain detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
  • Process claims payments within your authority level
  • Initiate salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned claims
  • Achieve the targeted number of assigned claims per year, while living our core values and meeting competencies
  • Achieve and maintain a file disposition rate of 100% on a monthly basis
  • Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
  • Whether you’re dealing with customers or co-workers, you’re always professional, friendly and courteous.
  • Preferably, you have a University degree in any discipline or a college diploma or the CIP designation
  • Minimum of 1 year claims experience within APD from a claims handling or first notice of loss perspective.
  • Knowledge of claims processes and procedures
  • Experience in both tort and DCPD provinces is an asset
  • An active adjuster license in New Brunswick or the ability to be licensed
  • You excel under and are comfortable with change
  • A demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills-detail-oriented and highly organized
  • A high proficiency with Windows based programs with excellent keyboarding skills
  • You are team oriented - you value collegiality and accomplishing goals together
  • You’re an excellent communicator (written and verbal) and an even better listener
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)

Salary Range: $51,300 - $94,400

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
