Job summary

GPTZero, based in Toronto, seeks a Product Manager to own discovery and define product requirements for an AI-powered detection platform benefiting educators, journalists, and creators. You’ll lead discovery, set success metrics, and partner with design and engineering to navigate model behavior and user trust.

You will be the first PM, collaborating across disciplines, driving execution from concept to launch, and iterating based on user feedback in a fast-paced startup culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience owning B2C/prosumer products end to end.
• Ability to operate without established PM processes and build structure.
• Deep understanding of AI-powered products and trust implications.
• Strong collaboration with designers, engineers, and researchers.
• High ownership with bias toward action, learning, iteration.

What we’re looking for

• Strong product judgment with 3-5 years of experience owning B2C/prosumer products end to end

• Comfort working without established PM processes and building structure that meaningfully improves outcomes. You will be GPTZero’s first product manager.

• Deep understanding of AI-powered products, including model limitations, tradeoffs, and user trust implications

• Strong collaboration skills with designers, engineers, and researchers to drive alignment and execution.

• High ownership mindset with a bias toward action, learning, and iteration

  • Experience working closely with ML or research teams
