Job description

AI has made brand impersonation faster, cheaper, and more convincing than ever. Deepfakes, cloned sites, and fake support accounts now spin up in minutes. ChainPatrol detects and removes them. We work with some of the biggest names in crypto, iGaming, and finance, and we're expanding into fintech and consumer brands next.

We've grown to over $4M ARR with a small team of four engineers. We are building data pipelines that process millions of new domains, social media accounts, and app marketplace listings per day without skipping a beat.

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer based in Toronto that can focus on Product and make sure that our customers are delighted. You’ll be working in-office at least 3 days per week, and you will report directly to the CTO. In your first month, you’ll work on mission-critical features, bug fixes, and large projects that span the three phases of our brand protection pipeline: detection, reviewing, and takedowns. By end of month 3, you’ll own one of these areas and will be responsible for shipping improvements, building new tooling, and instrumenting new metrics to assess pipeline health and opportunities for automation. Strong UI/UX skills are a must have for this role as you will be dealing with highly technical buyers and information-dense display.

You’re the right fit if you value:

  • Mission-critical product. We're solving one of the biggest problems on the Internet — billions are lost to phishing every year.
  • Hyper-growth stage. Strong early traction with top-tier customers. The playbook is being written now.
  • High ownership. Shape the next phase of our engineering culture — full stack impact.
  • Speed + Support. Work with execution-focused founders who value trust, autonomy, and action.

We believe that small teams with the right product sense empowered by AI agents will be the future of how all software will be built. If you’re already building this way, then this is the right place for you.

Sample Projects
  • Create new rules and enrichments for Apple App Store and Google Play Store so that we can detect fake apps with high confidence and initiate takedown requests faster.
  • Implement a backtesting framework for rules that allows rule developers to quantitatively verify the historical accuracy of their rules before rolling them out to avoid false positives.
Requirements
  • 3+ years writing high-quality, production code
  • Worked at a startup in the 0 → 1 or 1 → 100 stage
  • Able to work in-person from our Toronto office at least 3 days a week
  • Experience shipping full-stack product features with excellent UI/UX design, frontend, and backend skills
  • Experience talking to customers directly and understanding what their needs are
  • Experience with full-stack TypeScript codebase and monorepos
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Meaningful equity
  • Health benefits, learning budget, and the tools you need.
  • Weekly team lunches, snacks, and activities in our Toronto office.
Hiring Process
  • 15-min phone screen
  • 60-min technical discussion w/ CTO
  • 1-day take home project
  • 4-hour In-Person Presentation & Co-working
