Job description

About Us

Bettermode is a customer community platform that companies use to build branded community sites (forums, Q&A, knowledge bases, product feedback boards) that connect to their product, help centre, and CRM.

Our customers use those communities to deflect support tickets, retain users, and pull product signal straight from the people using their product. Top companies run on Bettermode today, from enterprises like Lenovo and Mercedes-Benz to developer platforms like Webflow and Xano. Together they reach millions of end users every day.

We're backed by top investors (incl. Bessemer Venture Partners, Golden Ventures, Inovia Capital), and we're rebuilding the category around AI. Community operations run on manual work today — moderating, triaging, tagging. We're augmenting that with agents, and turning community data into an intelligence layer that plugs into any marketing, support, product, or CRM stack.

Benefits
  • At Bettermode, we're dedicated to empowering our team to thrive — both professionally and personally. We offer location-based, competitive compensation that reflects your expertise and impact, with annual reviews so you can grow with us. Our culture is built on ownership and trust, giving you real influence over how we scale and succeed.
  • From your very first day, you and your family are covered by comprehensive Canadian health benefits (dental and vision included).
  • Enjoy unlimited paid vacation days, paid parental leave to support your family, and bereavement leave should you need it.
  • You'll have all the equipment you need provided, or you can bring your own device and access our Device Upgrade Policy, an interest-free hardware stipend repayable via payroll deductions, allowing you to upgrade when you need.
  • We want you to thrive in your work: every team member receives a monthly Tech & Appreciation Stipend — perfect for testing new software or tools and improving your workflows as you see fit.
  • For in-person collaboration, our downtown Toronto office is less than a 15-minute walk from Union Station, with a free shuttle running throughout the day. Snacks, coffee, video games, and board games provided.
  • Join a globally diverse and collaborative team where you're supported to do your best work and have access to all the resources needed to succeed.
About the Role

Job Title: Senior Product Manager

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in our Toronto office) for GTA residents; remote for other Canada-based candidates.

Team: Product

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who combines strong product craft with technical fluency. You will own key areas of our B2B SaaS platform, driving product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for customer-facing features. Alongside this, you will help design and adopt AI-powered tools that will take our product to the next level and increase the productivity of our product organization.

You thrive in ambiguity, partner closely with engineering and design, and understand how to leverage AI to work smarter. You're comfortable getting hands-on with data and tooling to move products forward.

What You'll Do
  • Own and drive the roadmap for key product areas within our B2B SaaS platform, with a focus on features that deliver measurable customer value.
  • Define product strategy and specifications in collaboration with engineering, design, and GTM teams.
  • Ship and iterate: Launch features, measure impact, and continuously improve based on customer feedback and usage data.
  • Conduct user research, competitive analysis, and data analysis to inform product decisions and prioritization.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
  • Adopt and help shape internal AI-powered tools that automate and enhance product management workflows, including:
    • AI-Assisted Product Development: Leverage LLM-based tools to help generate product specifications, user stories, and documentation.
    • Automated Market & User Insights: Use and help refine systems that synthesize competitor updates, industry news, user feedback, and product usage data into actionable insights.
    • Intelligent Workflow Automation: Help connect internal systems (Notion, Slack, Figma, CRM) to reduce manual overhead.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a candidate who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in product management at B2B SaaS companies, with a track record of shipping customer-facing products.
  • Solid technical fluency. You can read code, understand system architecture, and work effectively with engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, including building or using applications with LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG concepts.
  • Proven ability to ship products end-to-end, from strategy and discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
  • Data fluency: Comfortable with SQL, analytics tools, and using data to drive product decisions.
  • Bias for action and entrepreneurial mindset, with ability to build in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code and/or Cursor, custom agents, or workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make).
  • Portfolio of AI projects or side projects demonstrating technical depth.
  • Experience contributing to internal tools or platform products that improved team productivity.
Why This is a Great Opportunity
  • Real impact: Ship customer-facing products while helping adopt the AI infrastructure that multiplies team effectiveness.
  • Small talented team: We believe that empowered and motivated small teams can move faster than bigger ones.
  • Cutting-edge AI: Work at the forefront of AI application to product management workflows.
  • Growth path: Direct impact on product delivery with a clear path to senior leadership.
Additional Information
  • Headcount: This is a new position at Bettermode.
  • Compensation Range: CA$160K–$180K annually.
  • AI Use: Large Language Models (LLM) might be used in the hiring process for this position to screen, assess or select job applicants.
