RBC is seeking a Network Security Analyst to provide level 2 support for network security and application delivery services within the infrastructure. You will partner with IT across lines to analyze needs, resolve issues, and propose technology solutions for sponsor requirements.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of IP internetworking and security exposures and mitigations.
• Advanced understanding of application delivery controllers/load balancers and web application firewalls.
• Strong understanding of security exposures and mitigating designs.
• Experience with scripting: Python, JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed plans and estimates for build, testing and implementation phases of cyber and network security projects.
• Coordinate installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of cyber and network products.
• Provide consulting on new cyber and network security initiatives.
• Assist Project Manager in selecting development and third-party vendor solutions to meet requirements.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies for project success.
• Support cyber and network security infrastructure (firewalls, malware protection, cloud security).
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders from initiation to close.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to technology partners and lead projects when needed.

The context is small to large development or maintenance projects (multiple projects - one application with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties) emphasis is split between design, testing and technical analysis. What will you do?

• Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project for the cyber and network security platforms.
• Coordinate the installation, configuration, administration, trouble shooting and de-install of supported cyber and network products on the required platforms
• Provide consulting services on new initiatives (small to large of varying complexity) covering the cyber and network security platforms
• Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives
• Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies
• Provide support for the cyber and network security infrastructure (i.e. firewalls, intrusion/malware prevention, web application firewalls, cloud security, etc.)
• Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
• Prepare and deliver presentations to technology partners & may act at a project leader

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• In depth and current technical knowledge of IP Internetworking and the security exposures and mitigating designs and processes associated with them.
• Advanced understanding of application delivery controllers / load balancers, web application firewalls, internet proxy gateways and network security technology and how they integrate to deliver services.
• Strong understanding of security exposures and mitigating designs
• IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements
• Development experience with scripting technologies (Python, JavaScript, HTML).

Nice-to-Have

• Certifications like CISSP, ITIL certification
• Working knowledge of Remote VPN technologies, Palo alto/Checkpoint firewall, comprehensive understanding of API integration, SASE (Secure Access Service Edge), SSE (Secure Service Edge), and secure browser technologies.
• Understanding of JavaScript, Python, PAC files
• CCNP R&S/DC certification or equivalent level of knowledge
