Job summary

RBC is seeking a Cyber Security Professional to join the Application Security Group. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, innovative solutions to streamline processes and boost efficiency while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across cross-functional teams.

You will work with OWASP/SANS frameworks, AI tools, Python, REST APIs, and container-based architectures to enhance decision-making and automate tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development with a focus on Python, REST APIs, and containers.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (OWASP, SANS or equivalents).
• Experience with AI frameworks and Python libraries.
• Experience with Git and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) and database design.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Lead the development of cutting-edge tools that enhance decision-making, automate tasks, and drive positive change across the organization.


• Mentor and coach junior technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, secure development, and collaboration within a dynamic team environment.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical design to testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.


• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including diagrams and walkthroughs, to support feedback, design, development, and debugging activities.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have

• Knowledge of OWASP, SANS or other security-related frameworks


• Exposure to application security best practices such as secure coding, security testing techniques and Secure Software Development Lifecycle


• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python, REST APIs, and Containers


• Proficiency with AI frameworks (FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph) and Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn)


• Experience with Source Code Management (Git) and GitHub Actions


• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (OCP, Azure, AWS) and web services (SOAP, REST)


• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization


• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components


• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-have

• Working experience on large enterprise architecture designs/architecture models/solutions


• Experience with Docker and containerization platforms


• Experience with MLOps tools and frameworks


• Knowledge of emerging AI technologies (transformer architectures, prompt engineering techniques)
