RBC is seeking a Senior Endpoint Security Specialist to protect our enterprise environment. The role provides hands-on configuration, operational excellence, and ownership across Endpoint Threat Integration within a global Cyber Security context.

You will partner with Architecture, Engineering, Operations, and Risk teams to maintain security posture, ensure regulatory readiness, and respond to evolving threats across Windows, Linux, AIX, MacOS, Cloud, and container endpoints.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of and the ability to support multiple Endpoint Security applications (FireEye HX, Lookout, BeyondTrust, Magnet, Splunk, CrowdStrike etc.) on Windows, Linux, AIX, and MacOS platforms as well as Cloud and Container endpoints.
• Operational excellence in written and spoken communication, technical documentation, and policy management.
• Ownership mindset to lead endpoint security advancement and operational efficacy.

What is the Opportunity?

The Endpoint Security Integration team supports multiple critical enterprise-wide security applications. We are looking for a Senior Endpoint Security Specialist to join our team in helping protect RBC. In this role you will provide in-depth technical expertise, hands on configuration to security technology, and an ownership mindset for applications in the Endpoint Threat Integration team within RBC’s global Cyber Security environment. The Senior Endpoint Security Specialist will partner across various teams, subsidiaries, and with assigned business line(s) to assess business, technical, and system needs in order to maintain RBC security posture.

Job Description

What will you do?

• Act as a technical product lead for Endpoint Security technology ensuring we are providing global, industry leading protection on-premises and in the cloud


• Work hands-on to ensure products are operating with excellence by deploying new technology/ infrastructure, maintaining product health, stability, technology currency, audit readiness, security policies and procedures, and more


• Drive and support both project work and operational work to expand, uplift, and maintain our security capabilities


• Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms such as Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Business Application, and Risk teams, to build influence and drive impact with key partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.


• Keep security compliance as well as regulatory and audit readiness top of mind to ensure accountability and best-in-industry delivery


• Continuously identify and respond to the changing business and security threat landscape, assessing and responding to risks

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

• Strong knowledge of and the ability to support multiple Endpoint Security applications (FireEye HX, Lookout, BeyondTrust, Magnet, Splunk, CrowdStrike etc.) on Windows, Linux, AIX, and MacOS platforms as well as Cloud and Container endpoints


• Endpoint security expertise and technology management in the following areas:




• Agent management, software deployment and upgrade best practices, security policy management, mobile security threat management, privilege management protection, enterprise security logging, etc.




• Operational excellence - strong written and spoken communication, technical documentation, cleanliness configuration and policy management


• Ownership mindset to act as a leader in endpoint security advancement and operational efficacy


• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues within multiple technologies.


• Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work closely with peers and business partners, and technical documentation writing skills


• Capability to manage multiple priorities across several assignments while prioritizing effectively

Nice-to-have

• Certifications in information security (eg. CISSP, CCSP, CEH, ITIL)


• Experience managing large scale deployments of infrastructure and agents across an enterprise


• Prior end user technology support, Security Operations Centre (SOC) or similar security operations roles are considered an asset


• Knowledge of cloud and container platforms


• Automation, scripting, and AI expertise


• Experience interacting with critical applications and high sensitivity customers/ stakeholders


• Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
