A Senior Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the sales strategies and operations related to the wholesale aspect of telecommunications services. This role typically involves engaging with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive sales growth, maintain relationships, and develop new business opportunities. This role reports to the Director of Wholesale Sales. This role is responsible for driving revenue generation through the wholesale sale of telecommunications products and services to carriers, service providers, and large enterprises. This role involves strategic planning, client relationship management, and the negotiation of contracts and deals to maximize sales and profitability in the wholesale division.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve sales targets, increase revenue, and expand the customer base in the wholesale telecommunications sector.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, including carriers, service providers, and partners.
  3. Sales Pipeline Management: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, ensuring a healthy pipeline of prospects and driving the closing of high-value deals.
  4. Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of pricing, terms, and conditions for wholesale telecommunications services and contracts.
  5. Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other teams, including marketing, technical, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services and satisfaction for wholesale clients.
  7. Budget and Forecasting: Manage sales budgets, forecast revenue, and track performance to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  8. Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, market trends, and competitor activity.
  9. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and support to drive team success.
  10. Problem Resolution: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the sales process, ensuring smooth transactions and client satisfaction.

What you will bring:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in wholesale telecommunications sales or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role.
  2. Sales Expertise: Strong background in sales strategy, business development, and relationship management in the telecommunications or technology industry.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of telecommunications services (voice, data, fiber, cloud, etc.) and wholesale market dynamics.
  4. Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiating complex contracts and high-value deals with major clients.
  5. Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  6. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform decisions.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate at all levels of an organization.
  8. Customer-Centric: A deep commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  9. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Advanced knowledge of wholesale telecom pricing models and service level agreements (SLAs).
  2. Experience with CRM tools and sales forecasting systems.
  3. Ability to travel as required for client meetings and events.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week.
