Job description

The Sr. Financial Analyst develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for planning and control. Performs technical analysis to assess current and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activities, future requirements, and operating forecasts. Conducts economic research on rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investment opportunities, and governmental impacts.

This is an open position with no AI involvement in the selection process. The salary ranges from $93,000 to $99,000, depending on experience.

Summary: The role involves gathering, analyzing, and summarizing financial plans, forecasts, and requirements. It also includes project management, leadership, and exposure to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Forecasting: Create and update customer pricing files, upload sales forecasts, prepare variance analysis, and support budget and strategic planning.
2. Financial Reporting: Conduct month-end P&L analysis, prepare quarterly financial packages, reconcile accounts, and support long-term strategic planning.
3. Sales Support: Maintain reports on sales trends, customer and sales rep performance, manage SAP rebate system, and prepare profitability reviews.
4. Other Support Functions: Develop business plans, monitor marketing spending, serve as finance resource to various departments, and oversee specific projects like retread loans and capital planning.
5. IT Support: Act as FI Key User for Canada, providing system support and ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Your Profile

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years without a degree.
• Advanced data analysis skills, proficiency in Excel and presentations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and possibly travel internationally.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada; no visa sponsorship provided.

Preferred:

• 7+ years with an accounting designation.
• Experience with Power BI and SAP.
