Summary

Reporting to the Equipment Manager, the Sr. Equipment Engineer / Technologist is responsible for supporting specified work centers in Teledyne MEMS front and back end operational areas (Lithography, Bonding, CVD / ETCH / Furnaces, Metal, Wet Processing, Dicing, Back End & Assembly).

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Tracking tool status via MES
2. Sourcing & maintaining tool spares inventory
3. Create, maintain, and update preventative maintenance procedures & data collections
4. Interface with equipment vendors
5. Work effectively with operations & engineering teams to address process issues
6. Work both within a team and independently on projects
7. Mentor and train junior equipment maintenance team members
8. Train operations staff on PM tasks
9. Troubleshoot issues with designated tools
10. Escalate resources to repair tools and reduce downtime
11. Identify and document tool failure modes to improve maintenance

Education and Experience

• Relevant Technical Diploma / Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years relevant experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical & chemical systems
• RF systems knowledge is an asset
• Vacuum system knowledge is an asset
• Knowledge of chemical handling; WHMIS & TDG
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Clean room familiarity is an asset
