Job Description

• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents.
• Engage in daily stand-ups and sprint planning, coordinating tasks and prioritizing deployments with cross-functional teams.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters (K8s), performing health checks, security updates, and fine-tuning configurations for optimal performance.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments to ensure smooth, reliable releases.
• Integrate security checks, static analysis, and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines for enhanced code quality and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Jenkins pipelines, resolving build issues and minimizing pipeline disruptions.
• Debug and resolve issues in Java-based microservices, collaborating closely with development teams on critical fixes and improvements.
• Ability to work on GCP and its components.
• Work with development teams to enhance application performance, support infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, and refine deployment processes.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive service monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure high availability and performance.
• Use Jira and Confluence for Agile task management, incident documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Actively troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve issues, documenting insights for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate deployment and release activities across environments, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient rollouts.
• Continuously identify automation opportunities and optimize infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of work experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, GCP Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise and certification in the Cloud Computing platform - GCP is a must.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Bamboo, Maven, Cloud Build, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Git, Bitbucket, Groovy, MySQL.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting networking issues and Scripting (Python is preferred).
• Expertise in Linux Administration including setting up and supporting HA Clusters.
• Expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, and in monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Nexus.
• Effectively work in team settings.
• Skilled in planning technical projects.
• Ability to monitor day-to-day project execution to ensure the plan is being followed.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
