This role

As our DevOps Engineer, you'll work with our Global Engineering team and will be instrumental in shaping infrastructure engineering and cloud-native deployment strategies.

Your key focus areas will be:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and manage cloud environments using AWS services including CodeDeploy, RDS, S3, ElastiCache, Lambda, and DynamoDB
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead and maintain our IaC practices with Pulumi & Terraform (Terragrunt as a bonus)
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and optimize continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Github Actions
  • Observability & Monitoring: Implement and maintain observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Cloudwatch, and Honeycomb
  • Stateful Systems: Architect and support systems including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and Kafka
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to industry standards (SOC2, ISO 27001:2013, GDPR) and implement security practices
  • Container Orchestration: Design and manage Kubernetes-based systems, support microservice architectures, service mesh, and secret management

  • Deep AWS Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, architectures, and best practices
  • IaC Proficiency: Proven experience with Terraform
  • CI/CD & Version Control: Expertise in Github Actions and repositories
  • Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and observability tools
  • Solid background in managing stateful systems like PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Kafka
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash)
  • Experience with compliance requirements (SOC2, ISO 27001:2013, GDPR)
