Interview:
1st - 2 parts (candidate should allot at least 2 hrs)
a. Tech interview- 45 min- online SQL test - candidate required to bring their own laptop
b. Behavioural interview afterwards - 1 hr 2nd - with HM and Director - in person/MS Teams

Project: Slated to end in Oct. Real Estate Data Capture Project (REDC) - Data mapping, Business Analysis, UTA testing along with project activities.

Job Description:
What You’ll Be Doing
You will apply your strong reporting and data analysis skillsets, combined with an understanding of Risk Management to further RBIO’s purpose of “Acting as a trusted advisor” by enhancing risk domain business intelligence in CIBC. Your accountabilities include taking ownership of the assigned monthly and quarterly wholesale credit risk reporting to various CIBC partner teams as well as to the regulators. You will also be accountable for developing detailed requirements ensuring high data quality in the development and maintenance of robust reporting and analytic solutions in collaboration with various teams across Product, Finance, Risk, and Technology.

You are systematic in adhering to the processes related to monitoring data quality, raising data quality issues, and taking ownership to solve them in both production reporting and project delivery setting.
· Business and Data Analysis – You understand that both technical and business acumen are required. You are well versed in SQL and be a reliable liaison between business and technology groups. You understand the processes related to project delivery such as requirements analysis and user acceptance testing. Working closely with partners such as risk data consumers and risk data providers, you will provide analysis and support to the group with concepts around ingesting, measuring, monitoring, and reporting wholesale risk data to regulators and senior management.
· Projects & Testing – Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and goals. Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business.

Must haves:
1. 5+ years of previous experience as a Data Analyst
2. 5+ years in project delivery related to data warehousing and reporting
3. Experience writing requirement documents and data mapping
4. Experience writing SQL queries and performing analysis
5. Project skills - gathering requirements, business analysis, UAT testing.
6. Knowledge of reporting tools (BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI)
Nice to have:
1. Previous experience working on Commercial banking data projects - (Wholesale banking/Capital Markets)
