Job summary

CIBC is transforming payments for its consumer and business clients from its Toronto location. As a Senior Consultant, Payment Transformation & Delivery, you will craft an integrated strategy and plan for systems and processes enabling seamless payment experiences.

You will articulate business requirements to keep CIBC's payments capabilities competitive and resilient. You will work with enterprise stakeholders to ensure pragmatic delivery and stay informed on key payment trends driving industry

Qualifications

• Ability to develop, define and implement business strategy for payments delivery.
• Translate business requirements to ensure payments capabilities stay competitive and resilient.
• Engage across Enterprise to deliver pragmatic requirements and stay informed on payment trends.
• Experience with ISO 20022 and payment processing is a must-have; Open Payments Framework a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategic agenda for payment delivery across systems and processes.

• Apply critical thinking to assess payment solutions and articulate outcomes for the business and customers.

What you’ll be doing

In a highly collaborative environment, as a Senior Consultant, Payment Transformation & Delivery you will be responsible for building out an integrated strategy/plan for the systems and processes that support the delivery of seamless payment experiences to CIBC’s consumer and business clients.As "voice of business " you will articulate business requirements to ensure that CIBCs payments capabilities remain competitive in the marketplace and operate with resiliency. Working closely with representatives from across the enterprise, you will ensure the pragmatic delivery of requirements. As Canada continues on the path to payment modernization, there will be opportunities to engage with the broader community to stay informed on key payment trends that are driving industry growth. ISO 20022, its application, and Payment processing, operations is must have for this role. Its an asset if you have experience in FIS Open Payments Framework application.

How you’ll succeed

• Embrace the strategic agenda - You are able to develop, define and articulate business strategy and drive its implementation. You will be both an advisor and decision maker for CIBC agile teams to help clarify scope, resolve issues, and recommend alternate paths forward.
• Technology Delivery -You will be responsible for working with technology teams and business stakeholders on a variety of initiatives including Enterprise Wires modernization, Wire Room, Wire Engine and the adoption of the ISO20022 across a variety of payment types.
• Critical Thinking - Utilize your critical thinking and analytical skills to assess the development of payment solutions, and articulate how they will achieve the desired outcomes for the business and our customers.
• Relationship Building -As a Subject Matter expert, you will meet business objectives by building relationships and working effectively with Product, Technology, Risk and other lines of business, partners and vendors
