Position Title: Sr. Commercial Manager

Department: Commercial Operations

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 + annual bonus (paid in local currency)

Reports To: Commercial Director

About the Role

The Commercial Manager will play a critical role in our rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) team and our expansion within the Global markets (North America, LATAM). The Commercial Manager will own and lead the RFP & competitive bid processes, the negotiation of contracts with contractors & suppliers, conduct cost analysis, and make strategic product decisions for projects ranging in scope and complexity for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the RFP response and competitive bid processes for projects globally, analyzing commercial and legal aspects of customer RFPs to develop a competitive submission to continue to grow the execution pipeline
• Lead the customer and sub‑contractor contract negotiation phase for equipment, services, and EPC contracts by collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
• Develop key requirements for RFPs to sub‑contractors and evaluate the bid results
• Responsible for bid analysis and modelling to support the strategic procurement process
• Work with supply chain to capture competitive intelligence and generate insights on supply chain and BESS landscape
• Interact with external parties including customers, vendors, and potential suppliers
• Actively identify opportunities to improve business processes and support the implementation of such
• Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained
• Provide contract support to the project’s team during contract execution

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Educational background in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Commercial contract negotiation and RFPs management experience for equipment supply in the energy sector
• Proficient at aggregating and understanding and responding to requirements and information as part of the RFP process
• Proven experience in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to optimize a response and the decision‑making process
• Strong intrapreneurial mindset for process analysis, problem solving and strategy development skills
• Ability to take critical decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data and under time pressure
• Excellent communication skills and confidence with executive‑level presentations
