Position Title: Commercial Analyst Department: EQS Compensation: $90,000 - $140,000 + annual bonus (paid in local currency; range varies by location) Reports To: Data and Delivery Manager Location: Kitchener, ON (Onsite)
About the Role: The Commercial Analyst II will play a critical role in our rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) team and our expansion within the Global markets (North America, LATM, Australia). The Commercial Analyst II will own and lead the RFP & competitive bid processes, the negotiation of contracts with contractors & suppliers, conduct cost analysis, and making strategic product decisions for projects ranging in scope and complexity for assigned projects.
Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Engineering, Management, Finance, or Economics or related field degree. Commercial contract negotiation and RFPs management experience for equipment supply in the energy sector. Proficient at aggregating and understanding and responding to requirements and information as part of the RFP process. Proven experience in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to optimize a response and the decision-making process. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce. Fluent in English in speaking and writing. Enthusiasm for working with Customers and suppliers. Strong “intrapreneurial" mindset for process analysis, problem solving and strategy development skills. Ability to take critical decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data and under time pressure. Willingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation periods. Excellent communication skills and confidence with executive level presentations Demonstrated teamwork skills and proven leadership skills in virtual project teams. Ability to manage multiple complex activities simultaneously. Dedicated to details while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
