Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Sr. Logistics Operations Specialist to support logistics operations for our global energy storage projects. This role is based in our Kitchener, Ontario office. The primary focus is to lead logistics operations management in North America as well as support operations in other regions globally. This is a project logistics role in nature with oversight into ocean, port operations, customs clearance, warehousing and final delivery to the project site on specialized equipment handling oversized and HAZMAT equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Logistics Policies: Support the implementation of logistics procedures and controls in alignment with company strategy and operational goals.
  • Transportation & Distribution: Manage day‑to‑day transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Import/Customs Compliance: Ensure proper documentation compliance for all imports and work closely with appointed customs broker to ensure on‑time import of goods arriving at ports.
  • Warehouse Management: Work closely with nominated carriers to identify a suitable warehouse and storage facility for goods arriving into various regions and ports.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify supply chain bottlenecks or delays and implement corrective actions to maintain continuity of operations.
  • Project Support: Assist project execution and construction team in coordinating various tasks such as quality inspections, onsite repairs, delivery scheduling, and other tasks to ensure the project stays on schedule.
  • Ocean Logistics & Port Terminal Support: Collaborate with the ocean logistics team to reduce transit times and align with port operations to ensure cargo is ready for collection ahead of LFD.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4–6 years of experience in project logistics operations, including but not limited to battery energy storage systems or similar oversized and dangerous goods cargo.
  • Global logistics experience with a background of managing projects and freight in multiple regions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.
  • Experience with standard logistics contracts and pricing models (LTL, FTL, ocean freight, warehousing) is an asset.
  • A team player with a customer‑focused approach and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Passionate about sustainability and renewable energy.
