Job summary

Core Laboratories in Red Deer, Alberta is seeking a Senior CNC Operator to set up, operate, troubleshoot and optimize CNC machines to produce precision components. You will contribute to manufacturing goals by maintaining tight tolerances and smooth production flow.

You will train teammates, collaborate with engineering, quality and production, and maintain a safe, organized work area while meeting quality and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC experience.
  • Experience performing machine setups, tooling changes, and offset adjustments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC equipment according to production requirements.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.
  • Perform routine tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine checks.
  • Inspect parts using measuring equipment and document inspection results.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report machine or quality issues.
  • Maintain production records and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Assist in training and mentoring less experienced CNC operators.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized work area
  • Verify material supplied is adequate for job
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

The Senior CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC machining equipment to produce precision components that meet quality, productivity, and safety standards. This role serves as a technical resource for machine operators, assists with training and mentoring team members, and works closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
