Job summary

Job description

CNC Machine Operator

Looking for a dedicated, responsible CNC Machine Operator.

Responsibilities
  • Must be willing to take directions from experienced journeymen machinists
  • Produce quality parts that conform to specifications, using CNC machines
  • Set up and operate both CNC lathe and Mill
  • Inspect parts for quality and defects
  • Load raw materials (Average weight 30lbs up to 100lbs)
  • Manufacture parts to specifications and tolerances indicated on shop drawings and blue prints
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and other written technical documents
  • Participate in the planning of projects
  • Completion of quality records
  • Saw cut material to specified lengths
  • Debrurring of parts
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance; clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Experience using Fanuc controllers (Asset but not needed)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required
  • Strong math and trig skills
  • Teamwork & communication skills
