• Minimum 5 years in category, product, merchandising, or related commercial experience in B2B distribution.
• Data-driven and able to translate insights into actions.
• Commercially minded with understanding of assortment, suppliers, promotions, inventory and margin.
• Strategic thinker who can translate big-picture goals into practical plans.
• Collaborative influencer who builds cross-functional relationships.
• Comfortable using data/tools and emerging AI opportunities.

About the Role

As the Sr Category Manager, Facility Supplies, you'll shape the strategy behind one of our key product categories – using data, customer insight, and market knowledge to build the right assortment, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the category strategy – Drive assortment, sales, margin, and portfolio decisions based on customer needs, market trends, and performance data.
• Curate the portfolio – Identify opportunities to add, grow, refresh, or remove products and keep the assortment relevant and competitive.
• Drive vendor performance – Build strategic supplier relationships and negotiate programs, promotions, and opportunities that improve value and profitability.
• Turn data into action – Analyze product, sales, margin, and inventory trends to identify opportunities and support smarter decisions.
• Improve how we work – Challenge processes and leverage technology and AI tools to make category management more efficient and effective.
• Partner across the business – Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Inventory, Finance, Supply Chain, and fellow Category Managers to bring category strategies to life.

Who You Are

• B2B Distribution Experience – minimum 5 years of category, product, merchandising, or related commercial experience, ideally in B2B distribution.
• Data-Driven & Curious – You dig into the “why” behind the numbers and turn insights into action.
• Commercially Minded – You understand how assortment, suppliers, promotions, inventory, and margin come together to drive performance.
• Strategic & Solutions-Oriented – You see the big picture while finding practical ways to improve the business.
