Our client requires a Senior Business Analyst to unify outdated motor vehicle systems into a single platform, enhancing efficiency and service delivery. Responsibilities include mapping current services, performing gap analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement effective solutions. The resource will current state carrier / commercial driver and vehicle services and provide recommendations and considerations for future delivery.
Resource will work remotely but must be available to be on-site when requested for meetings. Frequency of meeting could be up to once per month. Standard Hours of work are 08 : 15 – 16 : 30 Alberta time. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Resource is responsible to pay for travel to on-site meetings.

Responsibilities
- Translate business and functional requirements into system functionality aligned with enterprise architecture.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and conduct process walkthroughs.
- Perform gap analysis on current and future state business processes.
- Create and update user stories, personas, journey maps, use cases, and flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to design IT solutions and validate them through user acceptance testing (UAT).
Mandatory Requirements
- 8 years’ experience as a business analyst translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise IT environment.
- 4 years’ experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements gathering and detailed design specifications.
- 8 years’ experience documenting user requirements, business processes, and workflows.
- 8 years’ experience in developing integrated system and technical design specifications on complex engagements.
- 8 years’ experience with development and implementation of content management, document management, records management, information management processes in applications.
- 6 years’ experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks.
- Experience using an Agile / Hybrid approach using tools such as JIRA
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply and interpret complex legislations / regulations, policies, and standards ie) Provincial traffic safety regulations.
- 4 years’ experience evaluating policies, programs, and initiatives using program development principles
- 4 years’ experience in gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders across ministries or departments.
- 4 years’ experience in the development of project documents for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.).
- 4 years’ experience with User Acceptance Testing processes on large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Experience in applications providing services to commercial transportation, along with expertise in management and oversight to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
