Reporting to the Pricing Manager, your responsibilities include contributing to pricing projects using advanced actuarial models and innovative methods, as well as mentoring less experienced analysts. Projects involve managing rate filings, developing new tools and processes, creating rating structures, and monitoring rate adequacy. You will gain exposure to rating and product development in personal auto lines, with opportunities for project leadership, interaction with senior management, and career growth.

  • Develop solutions for current and emerging trends
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects with high visibility

  • Identify process efficiencies across business areas
  • Enhance knowledge of actuarial operations, including predictive modeling, underwriting, claims, and product development
  • Apply your skills with database and predictive modeling software for profitability analysis and other applications
  • Manage project timelines effectively
  • Communicate actuarial concepts and recommendations clearly to management in writing and verbally
  • Monitor company and industry performance metrics
  • Perform peer reviews of technical and qualitative analyses
What do you bring to the role?
  • University degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Completion of 4-6 CAS exams
  • 2-5 years of relevant full-time experience
  • Strong programming skills, including SAS, Excel, Access, VBA
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a busy environment
  • Team player with adaptability to a fast-paced setting

Note: Fluency in English is required for serving clients across Canada.

Salary Range: $76,100 - $146,000.
