Job summary

Nature's Path Foods in Richmond, BC is seeking a CPA-enabled accountant to lead period-end close and multi-entity reporting. The role requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience and strong Excel skills.

Hybrid work in-office Mon–Thu with Fri from home, offering a base salary of CAD 90,000–110,000 plus a 10% bonus. Your work will include consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and enhancing financial systems with IFS.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience owning period-end close and reporting.
• Experience preparing consolidated multi-currency statements and intercompany reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills; PowerQuery/PowerPivot; IFS experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead period-end and year-end reporting, analysis, and reconciliations, including journal entries.
• Consolidate multi-entity trial balances and prepare consolidated statements in multiple currencies.
• Partner with teams to support departmental and fixed asset reporting and coding of expenses.
• Support financial statement audits by preparing schedules and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Collaborate to implement and enhance financial systems (IFS) and drive process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and cost efficiencies.

Description

Your Day-to-Day

• Lead period-end and year-end reporting, analysis, and reconciliations, including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries to support an accurate and timely close.
• Consolidate multi-entity trial balances and prepare consolidated, multi-currency financial statements , including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, and supporting notes in Microsoft Excel.
• Partner with teams across the business to support recurring departmental and fixed assetreportingrequirements,and ensure accurate coding of expenses and journal entries.
• Support financial statement audits and other audits by preparing draft financial statements,schedules, responding to requests, and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to implement and enhance financial systems such as IFS.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls, creating efficiencies, reducing costs, and helping the business achieve its goals.

What You'll Bring

• CPA designation and 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including ownership of period-end close activities.
• Experience preparing consolidated, multi-currency financial statements ,intercompany reconciliations and eliminations,and supporting notes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience building reports with PowerQuery and PowerPivot is a strong asset.Experience with IFS is considered an asset but is not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Location:Richmond, BC (in office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays working from home)

Compensation:$90,000 to $110,000 base salary, plus a 10% bonus
